Job Overview
We are new and quickly evolving business seeking a proactive and detail-oriented conveyancing Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This is not your run of the mill conveyancing post. This is a challenging role which will only suit candidates with an interest in being involved in the wider business and a clear understanding of the demands that come with that. The team regularly works long hours including on the weekends. In this role, you will handle your own case load and be expected to contribute to the evolution of the conveyancing process and practice in the firm as well as liaising with clients and third parties, and ensuring smooth transaction progress from start to finish. Your energetic approach and organizational skills will help facilitate efficient property transactions, providing exceptional service to clients and maintaining compliance with legal standards. Responsibilities
- Preparing and reviewing legal documents related to property transactions
- Manage communication with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other stakeholders to ensure timely updates and information exchange
- Handle residential and commercial conveyancing files
- Organize and maintain accurate case files, ensuring all documentation is complete and up-to-date
- Coordinate appointments for property inspections, valuations, and meetings with clients or external parties
- Draft correspondence, legal notices, and other essential documents with clarity and precision
- Support the team in meeting deadlines by effectively managing time and prioritizing tasks
- Sourcing and onboarding new clients
Required Skills
- Excellent communication skills to liaise confidently with clients, colleagues, and external contacts
- Proficiency in Libre Office Suite including Writer and Calc for document preparation, data management, and Proton Mail for correspondence
- Strong organizational skills to handle multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Good understanding of IT systems. The firm has a hybrid bespoke/off the shelf system which is Linux based
- Knowledge of conveyancing processes, property law, or previous experience in a legal environment is essential
- Effective time management skills to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality
- Fluency in English with clear written and verbal communication abilities. NB the firm has a strict no AI policy
